Abdul Jalil Maraicar

GROUP MANAGING DIRECTOR

Jalil is the Executive Director and Group Managing Director of ICE Petroleum. He has more than 30 years of experience in technical, sales, organisational transformation and general management roles within consulting, energy, financial services and technology sectors of the economy.

His experience ranges from startups to Fortune 100 companies, providing leadership in mergers and acquisitions, business turnaround and shareholder value creation. Jalil holds an MBA from Nottingham Trent University and attended the INSEAD leadership programme.

Datuk Ir. (Dr.) Abdul Rahim Bin Hj. Hashim

NON EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN

Datuk Ir. (Dr.) Abdul Rahim Hj. Hashim was appointed as the Vice-Chancellor, Universiti Malaya on November 1, 2017. He graduated in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom in 1976 and later received an Honorary Doctorate in Engineering from the same university in 2006.

He worked for PETRONAS for 32 years from September 1976 to December 2008 and held some important and key positions. These include as MD/CEO of PETRONAS Penapisan Melaka and Malaysian Refining Company (1991-1998), Vice President of Human Resource Management (1998-2002), Vice President of Gas Business (2002-2006) and Vice President Research and Technology (2006-2008). He was also the Technical Manager (1982 – 1987) and Refinery Manager (1987 – 1988) for PETRONAS Penapisan (Terengganu) Sdn Bhd, the PETRONAS first refinery at Kerteh. He was appointed as the Vice Chancellor, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (2013 – 2017).

A professional engineer, he sat on the Board of Engineers Malaysia and was Chairman of the Engineering Accreditation Council of Malaysia (2007-2012). He is currently a member of the Board of Engineers National Monitoring Committee, a board member of ICE Petroleum Engineering Sdn. Bhd., a board member of Deleum Berhad (a public listed company) and a Joint-Chairman (Government) and Director on the Board of Directors of Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MiGHT), and Chairman of Malaysian Research University Network (MRUN).

In October 2016 he was admitted as a William Pitt Fellow by the Pembroke College of Cambridge. He is the Past President of the International Gas Union (2009-2012), the Immediate Past President of the Malaysian Gas Association (2003-2015) and Past President of the Asia Pacific Natural Gas Vehicle Association (2003-2009). He attended the Harvard Advance Management Program in 1997.

Mohamad Zam Zalman Bin Tik

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER

Zam Zalman has held a number of senior management positions over the past nineteen years of his career. He holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration. Currently, he is the Group Executive Director and Chief Marketing Officer for Ice Petroleum Group of Companies, an established company involved in the onshore Oil & Gas business.

Upon completing his tertiary studies United Kingdom, Zam began his working career with Grimme Butcher Jones Ltd., a reputable Aviation based Re-Insurance broking company based in London. After he returned to Malaysia in 2002, he joined Eastgate Insurance Broker as Business Development Director and sits on the Board of the company. He gained extensive insight across multiple industries working both in the UK and Malaysia Insurance Broking Industry.

In 2005, he was offered a position in Melewar Industrial Group Berhad (MIG), a diversified steel manufacturing company, as Assistant Vice President of Contracts and Exports; Zam resigned from his position at Eastgate but still maintained board position at Eastgate. He left MIG in 2008 and returned to Rosegate (then known as Eastgate) again as Chief Executive Officer from 2011 till 2019. He spearheaded the development of new major accounts, marketing, structuring complex risk placements and servicing of key accounts as well as developing the reinsurance market portfolio for Rosegate.

Zam was the Chairman of the Malaysian Insurance and Takaful Brokers Association Executive Committee. Apart from the scope of the Insurance and Oil & Gas industry, Zam had successfully raised capital and financing for Common Ground, Malaysia’s largest Co-Working operator.

Amin Siru Abd Rahman

INDEPENDENT NON EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Amin Siru Abdul Rahman holds a Bacheelor’s Degree in Economics from University Malaya, Kuala Lumpur in 1979. A career banker with over 40 years’ experience in branch banking, corporate banking including corporate recovery and internal audit mainly with a large multinational banking group. The last 12 years in senior management and leadership roles with International Islamic banks as Chief Credit Officer, Chief Risk Officer and as Acting Chief Executive Officer.

Able to contribute with broad experiences in the corporate transformation of a financial institution (as a key member of the management team for the period 2010-2012) and as member and chairman of management, executive and Board Committees. Externally, good relationships are maintained with the supervisors and regulators including rating agencies. Have deep understanding of the changing market place and broad network of corporate and retail customers and professional advisers such as solicitors, accountants, valuers and consultants.

Grace Chan Min Yong
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Grace is a senior ICE Petroleum staff who has served the company since 1998. She started her career with Berjaya Group before joining ICE Petroleum where she now assumes financial controllership, reporting and forecasting responsibilities as the Chief Financial Officer. Grace is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and also Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

Choo Thin Chee
TECHNICAL ADVISOR

Choo Thin Chee is one of the pioneering members of the company during its inception in 1991. He has over 30 years of experience in providing engineering and management leadership for projects across various sectors within the energy industry. As Technical Advisor, he provides counsel in project execution and business development. Choo Thin Chee holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from National Taiwan University.

Mohd Asmadi Abdul Alam
MANAGER, HUMAN RESOURCE AND ADMINISTRATION

Asmadi joined ICE Petroleum in 2015 as Head of Human Resources and Administration. He started his career as an officer with the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia, managing emergency response and fire station operations. Prior to joining ICE Petroleum, Asmadi served various HR management roles for large scale heavy engineering and high-tech manufacturing industries in Penang including flexible electronics, die casting and textiles. Asmadi brings to the company over 20 years of experience in personnel management and occupational safety and health administration. He is a NIOSH certified Safety and Health Officer.

Grace Chan Min Yong
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Grace is a senior ICE Petroleum staff who has served the company since 1998.
