EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Abdul Jalil Maraicar

Group Managing Director

Jalil is Executive Director and Group Managing Director of ICE Petroleum. He has 30 years of experience in technical, sales, organisational transformation and general management roles within consulting, energy, financial services and technology sectors. His experience ranges from startups to Fortune 100 companies, providing leadership in mergers and acquisitions, business turnaround and value creation. Jalil holds an MBA from Nottingham Trent University and attended the INSEAD leadership programme.

Muhtar Hashim

Executive Director

Muhtar is Executive Director of ICE Petroleum. He started his career at PETRONAS, where he held various roles including plant operations, planning, marketing and trading. Muhtar is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow at the Institution of Chemical Engineers UK with 30 years of experience in the petrochemical and oil & gas industry. He is currently Deputy Chairman of the Chemical Industries Council of Malaysia (CICM). Muhtar holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Aston University and MBA from the University of Sheffield.

Grace Chan Min Yong

Chief Financial Officer

Grace is a senior member of ICE Petroleum who had served the company since 1998. She started her accounting career with Berjaya Group, a diversified Malaysian conglomerate before joining ICE Petroleum where she now leads financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audit and tax activities of the group. Grace is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and also Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

Datuk Ir. (Dr.) Abdul Rahim Hashim

Non-Executive Chairman

Datuk Ir. (Dr.) Rahim had served PETRONAS since 1976  and was board member of various PETRONAS companies within Southeast Asia, the Middle East  and South America. He was the immediate past-President of the International Gas Union and currently Director at LanzaTech, Vice Chancellor of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, and board member of  Institute Technology PETRONAS (INSTEP), SIRIM and Deleum Berhad. Datuk Rahim holds a BSc in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and an honorary doctorate in Engineering from the University of Birmingham. He is a Chartered Engineer, Fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia (FASc), and a William Pitt Fellow of Pembroke College, University of Cambridge.

Dato’ Jamelah Jamaluddin

Independent Non-Executive Director

Dato’ Jamelah has over 25 years of experience in investment banking. She was formerly CEO of Kuwait Finance House and MD of RHB Islamic Bank in Malaysia. She currently  serves the board of several Malaysian public listed companies, including  SME Bank, Scomi Energy Services, PMB Tijari, Kumpulan Jetson and Weida. Dato’ Jamelah holds a BBA (Finance) from Western Michigan University and MBA from Central Michigan University.

Louis Castro

Independent Non-Executive Director

Louis is a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years of experience  in corporate finance. He was former CFO of AIM listed Eland Oil & Gas plc and non-executive director of Pan-European Terminals plc. He is  currently non-executive director of AIM listed Stanley Gibbons Group plc. Louis was previously an AIM Nominated Adviser who has advised on all aspects of IPOs, fund raisings, restructurings and M&A. He holds BSc & BComm (Hons) in Engineering Production and Economics from  the University of Birmingham.

Azlinda Ariffin

Independent Non-Executive Director

Azlinda is an experienced corporate lawyer at Olswang LLP and previously Partner at Fasken Martineau LLP. Her clients have included AIM listed companies, Malaysian government funds, Asian HNWs and family offices. She is  Chairman of the Overseas Malaysian Executive Council, a network established in 1993 for building business relationships between Malaysia, the UK and Europe. Azlinda is a Barrister with Gray’s Inn, and holds an LLB (Hons) from Cardiff University.
